Lloyd's Patriotic Fund

Lloyd's Patriotic Fund's work of supporting service and ex service men and women and their families is as important today as when the charity was founded over 200 years ago.

Originally established by the Lloyd's market in 1803 during the Napoleonic Wars, the charity has continued to provide much needed assistance ever since.

Although nothing can repay the sacrifices made by current and ex-service personnel, throughout the year Lloyd's Patriotic Fund can and does provide meaningful support to them and their families in times of crisis.

Through its work with SSAFA Forces Help, Lloyd's Patriotic Fund provides grants to help service, ex-service people and their families; particularly if living in poverty or coping with serious ailments.
