Sports Fund
‘Sports Fund is focused on inspiring and helping young people (not just the sporty ones) to discover the possibilities that sport and physical activities provide. With less than 20% of children taking part in one or more activity beyond the school gate, Sports Fund's primary aim is to help address the huge drop off in participation once children leave school.
Funds raised help us to provide Sports Search to schools across the UK on a fully subsidized basis. Sports Search (www.sportssearch.org ) is an online cross-curricular system that produces a personalised profile to help every 11-17 year old to identify the sports and recreational activities they are best suited to, physically and attitudinally. We then help signpost them to local clubs and activity providers, encouraging healthier lifestyles and lifelong participation.
There is currently little public funding to address this crtical gap that exists between school and the sports community. With 2012 fast approaching, we very much appreciate your efforts to support our efforts to transform participation.'
