Northampton General Hospital Trust Charitable Fund
Our Mission
To raise funds to support Northampton General Hospital in its objective of providing excellent health care at the heart of the community and being the first choice hospital for the local population by:-
- helping to improve the environment for patients and staff
- supporting staff development and training to further medical knowledge and expertise
- funding equipment that makes a real difference to patient care.
Background
The Northampton General Hospital Charitable Fund (NGH Charitable Fund) was established in 1995 to help deliver the highest standards of care to the patients and families who use Northampton General Hospital. It also supports staff to improve, extend and innovate their work with the latest technology and training, enabling them to enhance the care provided to patients.
Whilst the NHS receives government funding for healthcare, there is always more that can be done to improve services. It's through the amazing generosity of patients, visitors, local companies, community groups and individuals that we are able to support the development of the hospitals facilities and services.
Northampton General Hospital serves a local population of 360,000 and operates approximately 600 beds, 14 operating theatres, ITU and HDU facilities. As a recognised cancer centre, we provide specialist care to a catchment population of 880,000.
These objectives are achieved through fundraising to support every area of the hospital to improve patient care and staff amenities.
