The Kisiizi Fund 9163
In 2008 The Countess of Chester Hospital established a partnership with the Church of Uganda Kisiizi Hospital and since then teams of health care professionals have undertaken visits to Kisiizi to work with staff to improve the knowledge and clinical skills of their staff.
Supported by a grant from the British Council, nursing, pharmacy and radiology staff have made two visits a year and already a number of significant changes have been made.
Donation to this fund will be used to support the costs of sending Countess staff to Kisiizi and to purchase additional equipment for Kisiizi Hospital.
We also currently have a scheme “SPONSOR A MATTRESS”. Most of the 250 mattresses at Kisiizi hospital are either damaged or badly stained and are not of the standard you would expect to find in a hospital environment, We are hoping to provide 250 new mattresses. You can sponsor a new mattress and mattress cover for £75.
