BLESMA

It is the charity that directly supports all our service men and women who lose limbs, the use of limbs or eyes or the sight of an eye in the service of our country and we are with them all whenever we are needed for the rest of their lives. Our work starts with rehabilitation - proving that there is life after amputation. Our work is about amputee helping amputee - the fellowship of shared experience. Our work is about life long welfare support, about campaigning for what they deserve and about being there when old injuries come back to haunt. Our youngest Member is 19 and our oldest is 99 - Truly we are BLESMA for Life.

  BLISS

Bliss, the special care baby charity, provides vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK. Founded 30 years ago, we offer guidance and information at a critical time in families' lives. We also fund ground-breaking research and campaign for babies to receive the best possible level of care regardless of when and where they are born.

  Excellent Development

Excellent Development supports farmers in Africa to gain access to clean water and grow enough food to eat and sell, enabling them to pay their children’s school fees and buy other necessities.

Farmers achieve this by organising themselves into self-help groups and improving soil and water conservation and farming techniques. Soil and water conservation is achieved through the terracing of land, planting of trees and building innovative sand dams that hold between 2-10 million litres of clean water available all year round.

In addition, Excellent Development works with development organisations at local, national and international level to apply the development model and technologies they use to enable their 2020 vision of 3 million farmers a year gaining access to clean water and growing enough food to eat and sell.

  Starehe

Starehe comprises two exceptional schools, providing a home and a first-class education for bright boys and girls from impoverished backgrounds - free of charge. It is unique in instilling a firm sense of duty, and in inspiring former pupils to lead exemplary lives across all walks of Kenyan society: from politics to medicine; from education to the media.
