The Times Christmas Charity Appeal is being supported this year by three fundraising partners. KPMG, the professional services company, will be match-funding donations to Help the Hospices to a cap of £70,000 . CVC Capital Partners, the private equity group, will match fund donations to Riders for Health to a total of £30,000 . The Pears Foundation will match donations to TreeHouse to the value of £50,000. That means for every pound you give to our appeal, one of our partners will double the donation.

If you pay UK income or capital gains tax, you can increase your donation by 28%. When going through the donation process tick the Gift Aid declaration which will ensure your donation is increased by 28%.

Riders for Health Riders for Health has been working in Africa for more than seventeen years. As a result of that work, more than 11 million men, women and children have had access to 21st century healthcare for the first time.

In Africa, people die of mediaeval diseases; diseases that we have not seen in Britain in over a hundred years. Those diseases can be easily prevented and, often, easily cured. These vulnerable people are isolated by huge distance and hostile terrain so it is hard for trained and equipped health professionals to reach them.

Riders for Health tackles what has become known as ‘the last mile'. We put in place training and maintenance systems, run by local people, to make sure that health workers have vehicles that never break down and run at the lowest possible cost. This simple and practical works saves lives, and it even saves money.

For every pound you donate, CVC Capital Partners will match your donation up to a maximum of £30,000, so your support will have double the impact. This money will help us to give men, women and children in Africa a healthier future.

Help the hospices Every moment is precious. That is why every year hospices help over 250,000 terminally ill patients and their families - adding life to days even when days cannot be added to life.

Help the Hospices is the national charity for the hospice movement. We support over 240 children's and adult hospices in their vital work caring for children and adults with a terminal illness. Our role is to coordinate national fundraising initiatives and national projects, to provide grants, funding, training, information, support and advocacy for hospices and to provide a national voice for hospice views. In everything we do, we aim to make a real difference to the care given to patients and their loved ones.

TreeHouse - Ambitious about Autism TreeHouse is the UK's national charity for autism education. 2007 is a very special year for TreeHouse as we celebrate our 10th anniversary and your support is needed now more than ever. We have had a huge impact on the lives of children with autism during this time but we still need to do more.

After eight challenging relocations to temporary homes throughout the last decade we are finally building a permanent home - a National Centre for Autism Education that will be the epicentre of our work supporting thousands of children with autism and their families throughout the UK.

This goal is within sight but will only be made possible with the support of individuals like you.

For every pound you give The Pears Foundation will match it up to a maximum of £50,000, so your support will have double the impact. This money will help us to transform the lives of children with autism and their families.

Thank you for supporting a child with autism this Christmas.
