How to set up a Charity Fund Account
Charities Trust can provide you with a cost effective solution for your proposed charity activity whereby your funds are held at Charities Trust, thus benefiting from our charitable status. This service can also be used by a charity, corporate, appeal or foundation already up and running or one which is in the process of being set up. This service out sources the administration involved in the management and dispersal of charity funds resulting in saving time and resources, while adding the ability to make full use of the tax breaks available for charities and donors within the UK.

The Charity Fund Account gives you:

- Payments can be made into the account by BACS, paying in book, cheque posted into Charities Trust, or online via our website.
- We can set up a bespoke online donation page for the Charity for donations using debt and credit cards. You can receive a link to this page to enable secure online donation from your own website if appropriate.
- Your Fund will become eligible for payroll giving donations from other employers who have payroll giving schemes in place.
- We claim Gift Aid providing an additional 25% on all eligible donations, which is added to your account on a monthly basis.
- We can thank donors on your behalf (this process would be discussed and agreed prior to your account opening).
- We can publicise your efforts here on our web site or be totally discreet about what you are doing.
- Your funds come under our umbrella and will be included in our annual return to the Charity Commission - so you won't have to produce returns for the Charity Commission yourselves.

Charges:
Charities Trust charge a 4% administration fees on all deposits made into your account which is deducted on a monthly basis from the account. This cost can be offset from Gift Aid claims made against eligible donations, which is worth 25% so in most cases the net funds available for you to donate to good causes is more than you paid into the account. In most case there is no additional charge for payments out of the account although transfers in currencies other than sterling will incur extra bank charges which would be recharged to the Fund. Additional services such as donor acknowledgements, mail shots etc are charged on an individual basis but by using Charities Trust to manage your funds you will be supporting another charity and have the confidence of knowing that you are dealing with a not for profit organisation.
