Charities Trust continually looks for new and innovative ways in which to raise money for charities. However, this idea goes one step further and gives employees cash and raises money for a charity that they nominate.
Charities Trust has linked up with envirofone the only mobile phone recycling company that pays cash to people to recycle their phone. For each phone traded with envirofone you receive cash and £3.00 is donated to any UK Registered Charity, via Charities Trust.
Employees details are not shared with any third party and your donation will also remain anonymous to the charity your employees have chosen.

• Every year over 15 million mobile phones are upgraded
• There are over 60 million mobile phone subscriptions in the UK
• Over five million old mobiles are thrown away each year
• An 18 – 25 year old changes their phone every nine months • Over 25’s change their mobile every 14 months
• Mobile are used by all ages – from eight to eighty
• Mobiles can have a usable life of up to eight years
• A new SIM free old mobile can cost up to £400
• The UK general public is given a new mobile for free
And finally ……
• The Internet is the most significant communications tool since the invention of the telephone – 13.1 million households have it (OFCOM)
HOW ENVIROFONE.COM WORKS
The Trade In:
• The employee goes on line to www.charitiestrust.org
• Clicks the link to the envirfone/charitiestrust.org web page
• Looks up their old phone and see how much its worth
• Select trade a phone (over 800 listed)
• Accept the cash offer or enviropoints option
• Select how they want to be paid
• Enter their details
• Nominates a charity the employee wishes to receive the £3.00 donation
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
• envirofone confirm the trade and registration by email
• envirofone send a welcome pack including a freepost envelope
• The user puts the phone(s) in the envelope
• envirofone emails receipt
• envirofone emails confirmation that the phone has past testing
• On completion of successful trade forwards £3.00 to Charities Trust to forward donation to nominated charity
ARE PHONES REJECTED?
• Over 95 per cent of all phones traded are accepted as they have cost envirofone.com to collect them
• Any rejects are offered a new value based on true worth
• If the employee rejects the offer phone is sent back – no questions asked / recorded delivery at envirofone’s expense
