Big Give Matched Funding

As a tribute to Charles Darwin, Alec Reed CBE is donating £50,000 to his five favourite wildlife charities on philanthropy website, theBigGive.org.uk. In true Darwinian style, Reed will allow a 'natural selection' process to govern how much of the £50k pot each charity receives by using the money as a "matched fund".

The chosen charities are Project African Wilderness (PAW), Orangutan Foundation, People's Trust for Endangered species, Wilderness Foundation UK and The Gorilla Organization.

To double your donation to one of these charities or simply see the fund in action please visit www.theBigGive.org.uk. The matched funding will end when £50,000 has been donated.

Start Your own Matched fund through the Big Give

If you have £1,000 or more and would like to make your money go further, why not start your own matched fund? The Big Give can create a bespoke matched giving scheme for your favourite charity.

Matched giving attracts new donors, providing a long-term base of supporters for your chosen charity and encourages giving in uncertain times.

For more information on matched giving schemes please contact us at: matching@thebiggive.org.uk.
