Wear it Pink is the biggest and best pink day during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast Cancer Campaign - Wear it Pink Month

This year, Breast Cancer Campaign is daring everyone in the UK to wear an item of pink on Friday 31 October and donate £2 each to the charity to help us beat breast cancer.

Involving your employees with this fundraising initiative is really easy, if your organisations has a Dress Down Friday nominate Breast Cancer Camapaign to receive October's donations.

If you don't, could you make an expeception this month?  Doantions can be collected on the day or download the One Off Payroll Giving form, which will make the donation tax effective immediately.

Which ever way you choose to fundraise and ask your colleagues to donate the £2 donations you help us to collect will help us to fight Breast Cancer.

Notes for Payroll Dept

Your Payroll dept. makes the deduction before tax as with any other payroll giving donation.   We will need a separate listing/charity deduction report (excel Spread Sheet) for these donations though the money can be paid in with the rest of the payroll giving money for that month using the usual BACS details.  The separate listing only needs to show employee number, name and amount of donation.  We do not need a copy of the authorisation forms though your payroll department will need to keep them for their records.   If existing payroll giving donors increase their donation for one time only they need to be shown on both listings (Appeal and normal payroll giving).

Notes for Fundraising Team

If you are collecting direct donations on the day, you can do this more secuely by inviting people to make a donation online, this way you can set up your very own fundraising pages and each time you do a collection rather than handling money people can do this securely online.  If you have colleagues who cannot get to a PC easily you can still open an online fundraising page and at the same we will send you Bank slips so you can pay monies direct into your online fundraising account, to learn more about this or to set one up visit www.sponsor-me.org.
