Giving Payroll Giving - The Xtra Factor

Giving Payroll Giving - The Xtra Factor

It is 20 years since Payroll Giving was introduced to employees as a tax effective way to give from pay, and this service has not changed until NOW!!!

Charities Trust, who is regarded as the most effective and creative payroll giving agency in the UK, is introducing The Xtra Factor to this traditional way of giving.

Giving Payroll Giving – The Xtra Factor revolutionises this method of giving, as it will provide millions of Xtra money for charities.

Giving Payroll Giving - The Xtra Factor gives employees the option to allow an annual increase to their monthly donation by a nominal percent. For example selecting a nominal annual increase of 3%, will increase each £1.00 an employee pledges to £1.03.

  • The company decides the percentage increase
  • Charities Trust will provide the company’s payroll department with a report outlining employees who have opted in, their payroll or NI number and the new amount that needs uploading on the payroll system
  • Employer chooses the most appropriate month in which to increase the donations, e.g. Annual payrise or bonus payments
  • The charities benefit 100% as there is no additional charge if the company introduces this new initiative
  • There is no charge to the employer or employee
  • The Xtra Factor is Flexible

In 2005 Payroll Giving donations in the UK reached almost £100million!!! If every donor signed up to Payroll Giving and agreed just a small nominal increase of 3% for example The Xtra Factor would deliver a staggering £3million additional revenue for charities and good causes.

Giving Payroll Giving - The Xtra Factor does not cost the employer or charity, there is no setup or ongoing cost as Charities Trust provides this service free of charge, and is just one of many Xtra fundraising initiatives Charities Trust offers to build the revenue stream on behalf of charities.

Charities Trust has invested surplus money to develop this Xtra way of giving and it is proud to offer another service that will not cost the employee, employer and importantly no cost to the charity that employees choose.
