Men’s luncheon gives hope to Centre 56 as Coutts sponsor afternoon at 60 Hope Street hotel.

Charities Trust assisted Coutts & Co - the Private and Commercial Banking Company to work together and help raise thousands for Centre 56 at a afternoon luncheon at the glamorous 60 Hope street Hotel.

Business men from around Liverpool came together to shed a little hope on Centre 56 and their wish list for Christmas this year.

Donations to baubles and auction prizes meant the afternoon raised just under £8,000 for the refuge for woman and children, who with Centre 56 have a place to escape domestic violence.

The Centre provides a physical space where women and children who have experienced Domestic Abuse can feel safe and free from violence as either a resident or visitor.

The Centre offers 24-hour staffing/helpline. Each resident is allocated their own caseworker, who works closely empowering, advising and supporting the family throughout their stay at the Refuge.

The Coutts Luncheon has not only helped maintain this level of services but also provided a platform for all its hard work to be acknowledged by a very influential group of people.

The event also resulted in pledges being made to help with the likes of donations towards new televisions for the Centre and even money for a Christmas party and presents, making the tenants Christmas a little brighter this year.

In return the children have shown their appreciation by decorating small tea light holders and thank you cards to be given out to the supports.

Charities Trust where delighted with the end result of the afternoon and having the opportunity to work along side Coutts.
