Charities Trust Joins Forces with Coutts in Fundraising Drive
Liverpool based Charities Trust joined forces with London based private banking firm Coutts yesterday to host a private lunch yesterday in aid of Liverpool based charity Centre 56.
A group of the UK's most influential women in the financial services attended the event which raised several thousands pounds for the centre which provides safe accommodation and support for abused women and children seeking refuge.
Lorraine O'Brien, Chief Executive of Charities Trust delivered a moving address highlighting the importance of the work done at the centre and the need for both practical and financial donations. She said: "The women and children who arrive at the centre often do so in the middle of the night with literally no possessions other than the clothes they are wearing. Staff at Centre 56 do remarkable work which gives women a chance to re-build their lives safely and confidently. Funding to allow this to continue is critical and we are deeply appreciative of the support Coutts has given us."
Centre 56 is one of thousands of charities across the country that Charities Trust is currently working with and the organisation is currently planning an intensive events programme which is intended to raise millions for a number of causes over the next twelve months.
