Just 1% of the population could raise £25million per year!
According to JumbleAID if only 1% of the adult population of the UK were to put one item a month on to the website and the average donation was just £5, over £25 million per year would be raised for charity.
What other charities use JumbleAID.com?
With Barnado's, World Vision, and The Prince's Trust among the founding charity partners, JumbleAID.com hopes that ultimately all UK charities will embrace the scheme and publicise it to their members - the more actively a charity engages, the more they stand to benefit.
JumbleAID also appeals to companies keen to make a difference on the corporate social responsibility agenda. JumbleAID already has the support of a number of corporate organisations, keen to involve their employees and raise money for their preferred charities through JumbleAID Group Schemes.
Simon Pailin, one of the founders said: "With growing consumerism and an escalating ‘Throwaway Society' even the most environmentally aware find it hard not to accumulate many unwanted, but perfectly serviceable items in garages, spare rooms or attics. JumbleAID offers everyone a way to turn all these items into valuable funds for their favorite charity. JumbleAID is a new way for charity supporters to raise significant funds for their charity without having to put their hands in their pockets.
"JumbleAID.com is a simple idea and perhaps that's why people ‘get it' and want to support it. It is a very exciting time and we believe with the support of charities, individuals and businesses we may have created something that we will all grow to be very proud of".
