We are continuing the Bibby Tree Appeal initiative to help our employees to give back to their environment.

Bibby Line Group has purchased a plot for 150 trees in the Alladale Wilderness Reserve in Scotland for employees to purchase.

If you get environmental and purchase a tree then we will match it with another. You can dedicate it to a friend or family member or even give it as a gift.

This is your chance to reduce your carbon footprint and give back to your environment.

Tree Facts

• One person causes about 10 tonnes of carbon dioxide to be emitted a year.
• One tree removes about 3/4 of a tonne of CO2 over its lifetime. By cooling the air and ground around them, the shade from trees helps cool the earth's temperature.
• A single mature beech tree can produce enough oxygen for 10 people in a year.
• Trees renew our air supply by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen.
• Trees lower air temperature by evaporating water in their leaves.
• Over one given year, one hectare of mature woodland will absorb the carbon emissions of 100 average family cars.

You will receive a certificate of authentication and plot location of where your tree is.

Your tree will be planted during 2010 by a group of young people supported by the charity ‘Challenger Trust’. This charity develops young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and gives them an understanding of how important saving the environment is.

Tree Planting is done in association with the Carbon Managers.
