Most people train for 12 months to run a marathon - my challenge train and run in only 6 weeks! April 5th 2010 approx 18:30 Charlie Humphreys is brought to this world. Smiles all around as our little bundle of joy is welcomed to the world. Fast forward two days and the smiles of joy are replaced with tears and prayers of hope - Charlie is rushed into the special care baby unit suffering with severe pneumonia. replace the caring cuddles of mum and dad with wires and an incubator and each second passing more worry of what the next minute will bring to us. fast forward to now and that little frail baby who was on life support is now running around like any normal 16 month old. without the care in the world. Without the help of the special care baby unit this story would have a much more darker ending. The staff care for every child on that ward as if they were there own children. They give constant updates to the parents and supported us in what ways they could whilst we spent our time with them. Please donate what you can to this amazing amazing ward, without the help of people like you then people like me would not be holding there baby today.
