The Great South Run and the Manchester Marathon

Hi and thanks for clicking onto my sponsorship page. On the 30th October 2011 I will be running the Great South Run in Portsmouth, then in April I will be (attempting) to make it the whole 26 miles around Manchester for the return of the Great Manchester Marathon. The First race in Portsmouth I was supposed to run with our good friend Ben 'The Lus' Russell, however his service in Libya with the Royal Navy was extended a few weeks. We all know how hard it has been for Ben and his lovely wife Sarah 'Bizzle' Russell as he has been serving in Libya for what seems like forever! For this reason half of the sponsorship money is going to The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity who exist to support the personnel and their families as they are working so hard for our country under often very difficult conditions. The other half of the money is for the Kisiizi Hospital Fund run by the Countess of Chester Hospital. The charity supports the Kisiizi Hospital in Uganda providing medical training and nurses for one of the countries poorest areas. Without support from the charity many would not be able to afford health care at all. Right - thats all from me - I know people are always asking for sponsorship but this is for a combined 36 miles of pain so please feel sorry for me and give generously! Thank you sooooo much Clair
