The Costa Production Team will be holding a one day Football Extravaganza at Staines Town Football Club on Sunday 25th September 2011 in aid of the Costa Foundation to enable the trustees to continue to invest in existing projects, build new facilities & classrooms and help coffee growing communities grow. This work has been benefitting people in many different coffee-producing countries since 2006 and has provided access to education for nearly 12,000 children in that time.

Competitors on the day include the mighty Costa Team plus opponents from Costa’s suppliers who will battle it out and demonstrate their footballing prowess and tough-tackling ..... all in aid of the Costa Foundation.

Our target for the day is to raise at least £10,000 for the Foundation which will be enough money to build a classroom in Ethiopia; so please dig deeply into your pockets. If you’d like to support the event by turning up on the day too; we’d really love to see you. It’s going to be a great family day; there’ll be an admission charge of £5 per adult/£3 concessions and food and drinks can be purchased inside the ground.

Every penny counts and the benefits for coffee growing communities are easy to quantify......for example just £12 provides fresh water and sanitation for a child in Guatemala and £20 will enable 12 children in Uganda to have school books for a year. PS. The Costa Foundation is a “golden pound charity” meaning that every penny donated gets spent directly on the school projects.
