I am Dan and am inspired by doing this years Coventry half marathon on Sunday 23rd May  for  Oesophageal Diseases Research Fund after hearing the bad and unexpected  news back in February that a close member of  my family  was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer.  It came as shock .  It is a cancer that not many people know enough about  I have put some information about it and the charity below please take the time to read

Information about oesopagas cancer

Oesophageal cancer (cancer of the gullet - foodpipe) has become more common in the past 30 years. It is now the 9th most common cancer in adults in the UK. About 7,800 cases are diagnosed in the UK each year. It is more common in men than in women.

As with most cancers, cancer of the oesophagus is more common in older people than in younger. There are very few cases in people under 45 years of age.

 THE CHARITY
