Whether you wish to participate in this event, or you wish to sponsor a Rider, your contribution is truly appreciated and we thank you for visiting this site.
If you would like to enter:
Any entry under 16yrs of age must be accompanied by one adult per child. Parents will be responsible for their child. We welcome all riders, either as a family (children in Upper school please) or as individuals. Family friends are also welcome!
You can chose to cycle either the 50 mile route or, if feeling brave and you've done plenty of training, the 100 mile route! Both routes are circular, beginning and ending at Foremarke.
The start will be 'open' between 09:30am and 11:00am. Riders can depart in groups of up to ten. There will be pit-stops at suitable distances around the route. Snacks and drinks will be available at the pit-stops and finish. The route will be signed.
So, if you want to enter, you need to e mail or telephone as listed below. An entry form will then be sent to you. We are asking for a small donation to cover your entry costs and this will include all refreshments and support on the big day.
Also, if you have a family member or friend who is able to help support this event, either at one of the pit-stops or at the start/finish, we would also love to hear from you.

The Theo Trust was set up in 1998 to keep in touch with those orphans in Russia who had experienced a year here at school through the Foremarke Trust scheme.
The year spent at Foremarke is the start of a larger commitment, not just a one-off experience. When they return to Russia, regular contact is made with the students through Skype phone, emails and news letters. Ex-orphans act as counsellors in the field, too, and we visit them in Russia each year. However, such visits and contact, good as they are, don’t measure up to that of staying with a family and being valued as such.
To achieve these closer family links, and as a result of the success of last years’ Foremarke Cycle Challenge, we have been able to do something that is more lasting. Lifeline gives Foremarkians, living in a Russian orphanage, the chance to come back in the summer and stay with original host and other families.
Since the scheme started in 1992 more than fifty orphans have experienced life at Foremarke. It has been a golden year for each of them and for their education. Many have prospered as a result and we have found that those who keep close to host families tend to be more secure and more focused. They feel valued when life for an adolescent in an institution isn’t easy. But we can’t expect host families and friends to afford annual air fares for a summer stay and hence this initiative which we call “Lifeline”- a ring-fenced fund to provide travel costs. In addition, the Theo Trust has also been able to provide an English Club within the orphanage and each week, ex-Foremarkians meet and socialize, with one simple rule; everything in English! This has given them a great sense of identity and a wonderful opportunty to keep practising their language skills.
