In December 2008, a colleague of ours at Franklands was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After a full mastectomy and intense chemotherapy, she is now on the road to making a full recovery.
Her strength and attitude throughout all she has endured has inspired us all as well as bringing to the forefront of our minds how we and our families have been and are being affected by cancer.
Employees of Franklands Andy Lowe, Phil Cockerton, Sam Gray, Anne Till & Phil Walker got together to decide on a personal challenge to attempt in order to raise money for various cancer charities that are close to our hearts. We are attempting to walk the 3 peaks of Yorkshire, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The aim is to complete all 3 peaks (approx 24 miles) in a maximum of 12 hours.
We are also being joined by some family members on the walk, with work colleagues and other family members providing support for us during our challenge.
