Hi guys & girls As some of you know by now, I’m pitting myself against the might of the London Triathlon on Sunday 10th August on behalf on KIDS IN NEED, and Essex-based registered charity who grant ‘wishes’ to children, aged 3-19, who are terminally/seriously ill or who suffer from multiple disabilities. The wishes they receive vary enormously and range between meeting top personalities from the worlds of entertainment and sport; sponsoring mini-break holidays; and purchasing both play and sensory equipment that has been adapted to suit a child’s needs. Some children choose something very different such as a ride in a helicopter, being a zoo keeper for a day, driving an Army tank or Ferrari…the wish list is endless. To fund these wishes, I am taking part in this year’s London Triathlon, which involves a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike ride and a 10km run to finish. Your help, encouragement and sponsorship would be very gratefully received in helping to support this charity which has been able to help dozens of children in the community each year.
