3 Peaks here we come aiming to raise as much as we can for our 2 chosen charities: The Chiltern Cenre for Disabled Children and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Fund
TRAINING DAY 1:
Pen y Fan - that's us pictured left, just before the final push to the peak. Just an hour earlier we had been relaxing with a bacon butty and cup of tea just outside Crickhowell.
Pen y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales, situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres (2,907 ft) above sea-level, it is also the highest peak in Britain south of the Snowdonia mountain range. The twin summits of Pen y Fan and Corn Du were formerly referred to as Cadair Arthur or 'Arthur's Seat'.
We think it was a good 10 mile round trip at least. A "steep" learning curve for the actual charity challenge.
