I am writing this for your kind-hearted donation/ contribution to help my friend's family in India, who has been trying to collect funds for a major cancer surgical operation in Europe.

The patient, Aruna Sharma, is in her 30's and is also a mother to a young child. Since the last 1.5 years, Her brother, Manish has tried the best treatment available in India for his sister but with no improvement in health.

Recently a colorectal cancer specialist (Dr. Kaushik J. Joshi, Cardinal Gracious Memorial Hospital, Vasai) based in Mumbai has referred to Dr. Jan Schmidt (M.D., PhD, MME) from Heidelberg, Germany (contact details below) who can successfully treat her and remove the tumor as this specialist treatment is still not available in India.
 
The doctor has suggested immediate surgery to remove this growing tumor. The cost of the complete operation would be about 58,000 Euros (c. £ 48k/ INR 34 lakhs). Even without factoring in other costs - living/ travelling to/fro Germany/ medicine/ consultation, the amount is too high for her family to raise alone since they have already spent about £ 30k/ INR 20 lakhs (2 million) exhausting most of their savings on her treatment.

We are trying to raise money from as many sources possible but we are finding it challenging to meet the overall abovementioned expenses.
