Fundraising Target: £2000
My Donations to date: £385
Fundraiser(s): Sam Richardson
Event: John 'O' Groats to Lands End Run
Event Date: 24th June 2012
Charitie(s) Supported: St Elizabeth Hospice,Macmillan Cancer Support,
Hello,
Thank you very much for coming to have a look at my fundraising page. My godfather, Gerald Johnson recently lost a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Throughout Gerald's courageous battle with cancer he was provided with advice & support from the lovely Macmillan nurse's at Ipswich Hospital and Gerald spent his final few days with the exceptional care & fantastic surroundings of St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich.
I wanted to do something to help both St Elizabeth Hospice & Macmillan continue their terrific work as well as give something back to them for the exceptional help & care they gave to Gerald. It was this that inspired me to begin planning a run from John 'O' Groats to Lands End! On the 24th June 2012 I will be running alone & unsupported from John 'O' Groats to Lands Ends, that’s a total of 876miles from End to End of Great Britain. I will simply be running with a backpack, sleeping bag & tent.
Rather than digging out your old trainers and coming along to join me (as im sure everyone would love to run 876miles) you can support me by simply donating some money, whether it be 50p, £5, £50 or anything at all then it would be greatly appreciated.
This is all to help St Elizabeth Hospice & Macmillan continue their fantastic work with people in need today, tomorrow & for years to come. Every little donation you make will help me stride along and tick off another mile on my JOGLE 2012. I really appreciate you taking the time to read my page & hope you can spare a little bit of money to aid two great causes.
Cheers,
Sam
