Believe it or not, I am taking part in this years Chester Half Marathon..... to raise funds for Relative Comfort.
Relative Comfort is the new appeal at the Countess of Chester to raise £500,000 to provide relatives rooms and counselling rooms for relatives of patients in the Critical Care Unit.
Currently, families and loved ones often have to sleep in the corridor or on a chair next to the bed at what is often a very distressing time. Therefore, providing a comfortable “home from home” environment where relatives can return to the patient’s bedside at short notice will, we feel, provide psychological and practical support when it is needed most.
Please give your support to this fantastic cause, which has been chosen as this years Charity of Choice for the Event!
