As you may be aware a very good friend of mine, Laurence Clarke, spent his last days in the care of staff in the Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge this year. The care he received was excellent and it would be nice to enable others in need to experience the same. I was thinking of this when I happened to bump into Santa Claus, who was in Buckingham planning his route through the new housing developments for 24th December. I asked him if he would put in a personal appearance to distribute presents to staff at Buckinghamshire PCT. To my suprise he said he would BUT that because the staff had not been as good as they should have been this year they would have to raise a minimum of £150 for the Hospice by sponsoring me in the Santa Jog in Stourbridge on 12th December. My heart sank as I don't suppose you can do this......but I hope that you all would like to see Santa. He did say that non-staff could help but the total will need to exceed £250 and that non-staff would get a copy of a photo of Santa. Go on help me, Santa, the Hospice and most of all those like Laurence who will need that wonderful care. Don't send me a Christmas Card make a donation...That is where the money for the card I would have sent you is going. Thanks Paul Jankowiak
