I intend to run a marathon at a later date when I return to full fitness in aid of the same cause. At the end of the summer I'm running my first marathon (26.2 miles) in aid of the IFAW. I think it's really cool what the IFAW do and I would really appreciate whatever sponsor money you can give. The IFAW Charitable Trust (ICT) is the registered charity arm of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and was established in 1993 and aims to educate the public in conservation, wildlife habitat and the prevention of cruelty to animals. The money raised by the Trust is used to fund many projects including an orphan bear cub sanctuary in Russia, non-invasive marine mammal research conducted by Song of the Whale, our state of-the-art education and research vessel, IFAW's Companion Animal Programme which provides desperately needed veterinary services to dogs and cats, as well as vital animal care education to pet owners in some of the world's poorest communities and protecting national parks from poaching and habitat loss.
