Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the 10k run on on 17 Oct 2009 to raise money for Smile India (Registration No K. 150/02) that runs two day centers in Kerala, India for elderly people. These elderly people, with hardly any friends or relatives find solace at the Pakalveedu/ Day center that is run by Smile India.
The day center at Manganam, Kottayam functions regularly on mon, wed, fri from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. The Pakalveedu at Kodimatha, Kottayam functions regularly on tuesdays and thursdays. Daily activities include newspaper reading, singing, devotional message, physiotherapy, occasional outings, cooking, health related classes, counselling, birthday celebrations, fellowship, exercise, memory games, jigsaw puzzles, sharing experiences, etc
Any donation, however small, would be really appreciated. Your donation will go into the day to day working of the institution. Please do select the Gift aid option along with your donation so that 20p will be added to every Pound that you donate.
