Event Date: 05th September 2011
Charitie(s) Supported: The Costa Foundation,
Last year with fantastic support from the Costa Cumbernauld Store Team; we raised over £1,500 for the Costa Foundation by holding a charity cabaret and Karaoke night. Thank you to everyone involved.
This year I’d like to take this to the next level with a fundraising target of £2,000. Please help me to achieve this goal as every penny raised will be invested in new classrooms and furniture for children in coffee growing communities.
West Highland Way 2011.
In September along with four of my friends, I will be completing the 95 mile West Highland Way. This beautiful but gruelling walk was devised in the 1960s and has been opened since 1980. I will be starting at the Costa Coffee in Milngavie travelling between the Lowlands and Lochaber and will complete the journey at Fort William 6 days later (God willing)! I am currently preparing by running 4 days a week and am also completing a 13 mile walk or a 22 mile cycle every Saturday. My alcohol intake has also reduced (which has been the hardest part).
My target this year is to raise £2,000 which I know is a tall order and I appreciate that charities may not naturally come to mind in the current climate; but every penny raised is going to a fantastic cause and I would ask you to dig deep to allow me to achieve this goal. With 22 schools opening their doors to children by the end of this year; please help me to fund the 23rd!
Every penny raised will be match funded by Costa so just bear in mind that every £10 is worth £20.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I really hope that you will be able to support me in any way BIG or small!Kind Regards
Jim
