Coutts Event Newsletter

Dear All,

It's been a little over a month since we were all together to celebrate Charities Trust 20th birthday at Coutts & Co.  First and foremost, my heartfelt thanks goes to Sarah Deaves, CEO of Coutts, and Gill Bruce, Strategic Marketing Manager at Coutts & Co who kindly invited Charities Trust to utilise their luncheon facilities.

I write not just as a reminder that Charities Trust is continuing the celebrations for this year, but more importantly the support we have so far received has been truly amazing.  In just one month some of our guests have already fulfilled their promises, and even added their own fundraising ideas to the 'asks' that I presented to each of you individually.

To give you a small insight on what has been achieved so far, I have listed below some of the fulfilled pledges (if I embarrass those who are mentioned below, please forgive me) but I think it only fair that your support and commitment to help Charities Trust makes even more of an impact on charity.

  • Amanda Williams and the Breast Cancer Campaign have set up Payroll Giving in their organisation and actively promoting it to their small team.

  • Ami Howse from Morgan Stanley has placed the Everyclick information on the Intranet and ROC Recruitment are sending £100 donation to Ami’s favourite charity, as ROC were invited to look for potential employees for a vacancy at Morgan Stanley.

  • Bella Burns from Credit Suisse switching Payroll Giving agency, which guarantees to reduce the administration cost for employee nominated charities.  Bella has also been able to confirm that Charities Trust can continue the party as we are holding a similar luncheon on the 8th May.  At this point I would like you consider this luncheon.  Bring along a person from a different organisation who you think Charities Trust could help.  Please forward names, position and company to Hannah Sweeney, as numbers are limited the sooner you can confirm attendance for you and your guest the better.

  • Emma Holman-West, The Alscot Estate – Working closely with Everyclick.

  • Sarah Deaves & Gill Bruce at Coutts looking to support Charities Trust again with a Christmas luncheon, which also will be the party to end our year of celebration, but also to launch the 21st anniversary.

  • Gillian Lipton, Monsoon – Everyclick Mouse attending during Monsoon Charity Week, and also instrumental in introducing Breast Cancer Campaign to a company who supplies Bird Feeders – so look out for Pink Bird Feeders in the future.

  • Juliet Feeny – Capita, launching Everyclick to its workforce

  • Lorna Liggett, Home Retail Group – Introduced Breast Cancer Campaign to Buyers with the possibility of receiving support for the National BBQ Party in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign.

  • Polly Gowers immediately set up Payroll Giving at Everyclick for the first time

  • GMTV, both Michelle and Clare have actively supported Payroll Giving with a relaunch planned in the Summer.  The exciting news is turning the weather map Pink, which has received very positive feedback so look out for Pink Weather in October

  • Denyse, who has supported Charities Trust from day one when joining the Royal Mail has kindly offered to support Charities Trust in way that will have huge impact.  The support is under wraps at the moment, but I wanted to give this a special as it will be such an exciting development, and this is solely down to the support of Denyse.

Birthday presents don’t get much better wrapped than above, many of you have really invested time and effort in enabling Charities Trust to deliver further unrestricted funds for charities and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this support.

If you have any thoughts, suggestions or updates please feel free to feed this back to me.  Thank you so much again for this support as it is truly brilliant to have friends like you.

Lorraine x
